Portable Air Conditioner

Much of central Canada is sweltering in the heat, and heat alerts and humidex advisories are being issued in cities across the Prairies and Ontario.
The extreme heat has led many people to head to hardware stores in search of air conditioning units. In some areas, retailers are having trouble keeping them in stock.
The window-mounted air conditioning unit has been around for decades. But it’s now sharing shelf space with a relatively new product – the portable air conditioner.
These products are small and can be used to supplement an existing central cooling system, are attractive alternatives to traditional units for several reasons:
* They can be used in rooms that cannot accommodate window units.
* They can be moved from room to room
* They suck humidity out of the air while cooling it
Furthermore, some consumers live in apartment complexes and condominiums that forbid the use of traditional wall units:
If you plan to buy a portable air conditioner make sure it is:
Truly portable
Some units are not truly portable but are simply described as portable because they don't require wall installation
Has wheels and built-in handles
This will allow you to move it from room to room
The right size
A small portable air conditioner that uses less energy and takes up little space might tempt you, but it won’t cool down a large living room.
Also, make sure you don’t put a large portable room air conditioner in a small space. The unit will overwork to cool the area and make the room clammy.
