Nokia X2 Price In India

The latest addition to their ‘X series’ smartphones specifically targets young music lovers on a budget. The Nokia X2 is a classic candybar phone with a numeric keypad. It is scheduled to hit the markets in the second quarter of 2010.
A complete music phone, the Nokia X2 not only consists of a cool MP3 player, but also boasts of an FM radio. To control playback, there are special dedicated keys on the side of the phone and you can either listen to music through the speakers (provided 2 pieces) or a headset (a standard 3.5 mm jack). The playback on the phone can be controlled by the special dedicated keys provided on the side of the phone. The music can be played either through the speakers which are provided with the phone (2 pieces) or the provided headset with a 3.5mm jack.
Nokia X2 supports 16GB microSD memory card for storing mass music, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0. An ‘Ovi Player software’ with an easy interface is also provided to help you manage your music.
Integration with social networks is provided. (A quick access to facebook is enabled right on the home screen.)
One major disadvantage is that there’s NO 3G support for the Nokia X2. Online facilities can be availed via the built-in GSM/EDGE bands.
For a phone which is rumored to cost around 5500 rupees, the Nokia X2 sports a whopping 5 mega pixel camera. Nokia seems to be learning the tricks of the trade, offering a good camera for such a low price and not offering 3G services in a market like India. Let’s face it, India is way behind on 3G technology, and we still don’t have a definite date as to when service providers like ‘Airtel’ or ‘Vodafone’ will start offering 3G, and BSNL’s ‘Jadoo’ just doesn’t cut it.
Ovi by Nokia users can download the latest games and store applications. Nokia X2 also has e-mail and instant messaging support.

FINAL VERDICT –
Though not like the choice of the elite who would much rather go for the high end like Nokia N8 Review ( Click here for review), the Nokia X2 is an absolute delight for those smitten by the Nokia X6 Review (Click here for the review) but don’t have pockets which run deep enough to cover it. If you are music lover with a with an eye on your budget, go for the X2.
