Constantin Film has unveiled the official character posters for its 3D period actioner The Three Musketeers and by the looks of things, they've taken a page from theSherlock Holmes book of key art.
The new posters are all the same design, featuring one of the film's eight main characters set against a grey and gritty backdrop. Most, including Milla Jovovich as Milady de Winter, Logan Lerman as D'Artagnan and Luke Evans as Aramis are pointing a sword or pistol at the audience. The film, which also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Ray Stevenson, Matthew Macfadyen,Orlando Bloom and Christoph Waltz, centers on Lerman as D'Artagnan, who unites with the down-at-heels Musketeers to defeat forces set on seizing the French crown and plunging Europe into war.

Anderson's reboot of the Alexander Dumas' classic swashbuckling tale is Sherlock Holmes meets Resident Evil: plenty of action and some surprisingly high-tech weaponry for 17th century France.
