National Geographic Channel’s series ‘Inside’ will showcase a special ‘Inside: Kingdom of Dreams’ on 7 August at 10 pm.
The special will take viewers to a new entertainment destination – the Kingdom of Dreams located in Gurgaon, India.
The documentary unveils how Kingdom of Dreams brings together the best of modern technology and wizardry integrated perfectly with traditional Indian performing arts, cinematic entertainment and India’s rich cultural heritage.
The team of ‘Inside’ worked tirelessly to showcase exclusive insights into the making and functioning of the future of Indian entertainment, revealing the creative genius, attitude and philosophy unique to Indian entertainment as compared to the rest of the world.
Nat Geo’s ‘Inside’ unravels the world's most restricted places and destinations, highlighting their use of science, high-tech tools and other lesser known facets.
The announcement was made at IIFA. Fox International Channels MD Keertan Adyanthaya said, “Through this series, Nat Geo has always tried to take viewers deeper inside places and happenings with fresh insight and perspective. Our curious viewers always appreciate subjects that are topical and unexplored. ‘Inside – Kingdom of Dreams’ is not only relevant, but it also resonates with Indian audiences, who may not otherwise have the opportunity of visiting and seeing how this unique spectacle is crafted and created.”
Kingdom of Dreams is an initiative by Great India Nautanki Company, a joint venture between Wizcraft International Entertainment and Apra Group of Companies. This concept will offer theme-based entertainment experiences and promote Indian culture to Indians and visitors from across the globe. Spread across of acres of land, Kingdom of Dreams has three distinct entertainment zones – Culture Gully, Nautanki Mahal, and Showshaa Theatre- each offering a unique proposition.
Meanwhile, Kingdom of Dreams unveiled plans to take India’s longest running musical Zangoora on a world tour.
Kingdom of Dreams global ambassador Shahrukh Khan said, “Kingdom of dreams is reflective of India, its rich culture and seamless heritage and I am proud to promote my country, my India, through this platform. Kingdom of Dreams is a world class experience and I am ecstatic to be a part of an Indian brand that has set the stage for entertainment at its very best.”
An out and out musical comedy, ‘Jhumroo’ will be launched in October at Kingdom of Dreams. Packed with 19 Bollywood retro songs, Jhumroo is a celebration of the spirit of Kishore Kumar and literally so.
Kingdom of Dreams will also present ‘Here I am –Shiamak’, a Vegas styled dance and music show fitted perfectly in the state of the art auditorium – Nautanki Mahal. This extravaganza by the phenomenal dance maestro will bring various genres of dance alive on stage.
“I am really excited to perform live at Nautanki Mahal in Kingdom of Dreams. ‘Here I am’ is a unique theatrical spectacular with an international format which will be seen for the first time at the amazing Kingdom of Dreams,” Shiamak Davar said on the association.
‘Zangoora’ - The Gypsy Prince, world’s biggest cinematic themed theatrical musical commenced at the magnificent Nautanki Mahal nine months ago and completed its run of 300 shows on 11 June 2011. Kingdom of Dreams on this historic occasion has taken yet another leap by taking Zangoora on a world tour next year.
Wizcraft International Entertainment director Viraf Sarkari said, “It is a very proud moment for all of us. Kingdom of Dreams has been conceptualised to offer a live entertainment experience at par with the best around the world. We hope to capture the imagination of the world with this spectacular destination and our new musical extravaganzas.
