When most people think of Conan, they think late night talk show host Conan O'Brien, or perhaps, Arnold Schwarzenegger. But for the moment, the only Conan running Hollywood is enormous actor Jason Momoa, who's set to star in the rebooted Conan The Barbarian film.

But who exactly is the guy? And where'd the Game of Thronesactor come from?

The 31-year-old actor hails from Hawaii, and although he's only a relative giant at 6'3," his muscular frame and long hair help make him that much more imposing. While he's best known for playing Khal Drogo in the HBO series Game of Thrones, nerdier fans might remember him as Ronon Dex on Stargate: Atlantis.

Taking 7 years to develop, the reboot of Conan the Barbarian is due out in August. Momoa stars in the titular role, and judging from the trailer promises loads of over-the-top violence, sword-fighting and sorcery. Oh, and did we mention it's all in 3D!
